Flake Dyes. Dyes play a vital role in the candle-making industry by enhancing the visual appeal of finished products. Among the various types, flake dyes are widely used due to their ease of handling and vibrant coloration. These dyes are synthetic in nature and are processed using specialized formulations and dissolution techniques to create flake forms. A key advantage of our flake dyes is their ability to fully dissolve at temperatures below 85°C, making them highly suitable for candle manufacturing. This ensures consistent color dispersion without compromising the integrity of the wax, offering both aesthetic and functional benefits to candle makers.
Flake Pigments. Pigments are a popular choice for coloring candles, especially in decorative and artisanal applications, due to their strong color stability and non-bleeding properties. Unlike dyes that dissolve into wax, pigments remain as ultra-fine particles suspended within the wax base. This unique characteristic makes flake pigments an ideal coloring agent for craft candles, where clean color separation is essential. However, because pigments do not dissolve, they present a significant challenge for combustion. Their presence can impact burn quality, requiring careful formulation and testing to ensure both vibrant appearance and safe performance in the finished candle.
Fluorescent Pigments are ideal for dip-dye and fully colored candle products, offering bright, vivid colors with excellent dispersion and easy handling. Their vibrant appearance enhances visual appeal, making them especially suitable for decorative or themed candles. With up to 12 base fluorescent colors available, these pigments provide a versatile and rich palette to expand and diversify your candle color system.
Color Stabilizers play a crucial role in maintaining the appearance and consistency of candle colors over time, especially when exposed to light, heat, and fragrance additives. The latest generation of color stabilizer blends features a unique formulation that combines UV absorption, free radical scavenging, and antioxidant properties in a single solution. This multifunctional approach not only protects candle colors from fading or discoloration but also offers broad compatibility with various fragrance oils. As a result, it eliminates the need for multiple stabilizing agents, providing a more efficient and reliable solution for color preservation in candle production.
Whitening Agents are essential additives in candle manufacturing, especially for achieving a clean, bright white appearance in finished products. Specifically developed for use in the candle industry, these whitening agents are formulated to deliver a noticeable whitening effect in wax. They are particularly effective in enhancing the visual appeal of white or lightly colored candles, meeting customer demands for purity and color brightness without compromising the wax’s performance.
Free Color Test tool and Color Palette Tool. We offer two specialized tools to support color evaluation and wax formulation: the UV color test tool and the color palette tool. The UV color test tool allows users to assess the lightfastness and UV resistance of wax colors by comparing exposed and unexposed sections after controlled UV exposure, providing a clear picture of color stability over time. The color palette tool features a 4 x 8 grid to compare up to 28 wax formulations side-by-side, making it ideal for evaluating color consistency, coverage, and visual appeal. Both tools are available free of charge to our commercial partners, subject to BC’s Free Sample Rules.
